Chabashira, a Japanese tea specialty shop located in Kichijoji, Tokyo, is inspired by the traditions of table-style sencha. For this space, we designed and built a central round table and stools, carefully selecting wood tones to harmonise with the surrounding interior finishes. The tabletop’s cross-section aligns seamlessly with the built-in product shelves, imparting a clean, modern impression. Slightly elevated to introduce a subtle sense of formality, the furniture doubles as display platforms, enhancing their visibility and presence from the street.
